RSU has been invited to provide creative workshops for enRiching Voices - a new project run by Community College with support from the Australian Government's Living in Harmony program - which aims to celebrate our many successes as a diverse and harmonious multicultural society; and re-commit to our common values of respect and goodwill toward our fellow Australians.
East Gippsland residents from diverse cultural backgrounds will take part in arts workshops, tutorials and other activities to learn new skills and develop self confidence in relating to others. They will explore how to use photography, art media, digital media, bushcraft, silk painting and creative writing to express their personal stories and their Australian experiences. These "stories" will then be told through an exhibition - enRiching Voices - which will tour East Gippsland later this year.
RSU will facilitate "Expressions in clay" which aims to encourage self-expression and story-teling through raw clay sculpture.
